LX Hausys America releases corporate 2025 ESG report

LX Hausys America Inc. has released its corporate 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing the global sustainability goals and achievements of its parent organization, LX Hausys Ltd., a Korea-based company that designs and manufactures innovative material solutions for multiple markets across thousands of regions worldwide.

 

 

A key highlight of the report is the company’s continued execution of its 2050 Carbon Neutrality Roadmap, a strategic pathway to actively pursuing greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction initiatives. Last year, the company reduced GHG emissions by 2,218 tons and sold 13,040 tons of surplus emission allowances through Korea’s Emissions Trading Scheme. This year, GHG performance has been integrated as a key performance indicator into each business division, underscoring the company’s commitment to accountability at every level of operation.

 

In the U.S., LX Hausys strengthened sustainability practices at its two state-of-the art manufacturing facilities in Georgia, where it produces its VIATERA quartz and HIMACS solid surface materials as well as automotive fabrics. Facility upgrades, including boiler replacements and optimized heat recovery systems, have improved energy efficiency and reduced reliance on fossil fuels. The company also reports improvements in waste reduction and recycling of byproducts. Both U.S. plants maintain ISO 14001 environmental management certification to minimize environmental impact.

 

The report also shows LX Hausys’ continued innovation for environmentally responsible product offerings. It has expanded the use of recycled PET into its furniture film products and introduced the industry’s first bio-based furniture film. To date, the company has earned 160 third-party environmental-related product certifications or labels, reinforcing its role as a leader in this area, while also providing transparency.
